q       A lightweight backpack or tote bag to hold these items
q       List of key phone numbers for family members, emergency and out-of-state contacts
q       Flashlight with extra batteries
q       Whistle on a cord
q       Radio, AM battery operated
q       Medical prescriptions – 7 day supply
q       Pain relievers (aspirin, Ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc.) – 7 day supply
q       One-a-day vitamins – 7 day supply
q       Extra pair of prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses and supplies
q       Personal hygiene supplies (toothbrush/toothpaste, Purell, sanitary supplies, etc.)
q       Small First Aid kit or basic supplies
q       Spare change for public phone and vending machines
q       Pair of strong work gloves
q       Pair of good, heavy-soled walking shoes and socks
q       Warm long-legged and long-sleeved clothing
q       Emergency food – 3 day supply (suggested items):
    q       water, in sealed containers
    q       high energy food bars and candy
    q       raisins or other dried fruit
    q       pull tab cans of fruit or vegetable juice or cans of fortified drinks (Ensure, Slimfast)
    q       pull tab cans of food requiring no refrigeration or heating
